In a retreat setting, youth and adults are invited to participate in service projects, educational activities, discussion, and simulation to engage in narratives around poverty and privilege in the Twin Cities Metro. Participants develop skills and are given tools to become agents of change in their own communities.

Face the Facts: Understanding Urban Poverty asks participants to put themselves in the shoes of those living in poverty in our communities. This simulation engages participants in making tough choices as a family of five living in Minneapolis on a limited budget, to stimulate awareness, openness, and learning.
